Clause 9.3 of ISO 9001:2015 requires top management to review the QMS at planned intervals. Inputs include the status of previous actions, customer satisfaction, achievement of quality objectives, process performance, nonconformities and corrective actions, audit results, the performance of external providers and the effectiveness of actions on risks and opportunities. ISO 9001 requires planned intervals without setting a rhythm. In most companies it takes place once a year, often before the surveillance or recertification audit. Major changes justify an additional review.
