In short

Which requirements of IFS Food 8 can QM software cover?

IFS Food version 8 has been mandatory since 1 January 2024 and has ten KO requirements. Among them, internal audits (5.1.1) and corrective actions (5.11.3) concern classic QM tasks. The standard also requires controlled documents, supplier assessment, complaint management and corrective actions with root cause analysis. QM software such as QuKI holds exactly this evidence. Food safety itself, meaning HACCP, traceability and product testing, stays in your specialist systems.

Where things get stuck before the next IFS or BRCGS audit

  • The internal audit programme sits in Excel and nobody sees which requirement was checked last
  • Complaints from retailers and consumers arrive by email and are retyped by hand
  • Corrective actions are recorded, but root cause analysis and effectiveness are missing
  • Supplier assessments are due and the documents sit in different folders

QuKI

How QuKI supports food companies

QuKI is not industry software for recipes or traceability. It runs the QM duties every food standard requires, with one set of rules per standard.

One set of rules per standard

You create IFS Food, BRCGS or FSSC 22000 as its own set of rules with chapters and audit questions. If you work to several standards, you run several sets side by side.

With AI

The AI reads your process documents and proposes audit questions per standard, each with a confidence value. You accept, change or discard every suggestion.

Internal audits with a programme

The audit programme shows in the annual view which areas are audited when. BRCGS Issue 9 requires audits on at least four dates a year, IFS Food treats the internal audit as a KO requirement.

Complaints from email

You record complaints from retailers and consumers with root cause analysis up to the 8D report.

With AI

Drag the email, a PDF or a photo into the window. The AI reads what it contains and pre-fills the case. You review and save.

Corrective actions through to effectiveness

Findings and complaints become actions with an owner and a deadline, tracked to completion and to the effectiveness check.

Supplier assessment

Assess and classify suppliers and link them to their audits, with escalation levels when performance falls short.

Training and documents

Training with comprehension questions and a competency matrix, plus controlled documents with versioning and four-eyes approval.

What changes for you

  • Before the certification audit the audit programme, findings and actions are in order
  • Complaints are captured without anyone retyping them
  • Every corrective action has a cause, an owner and evidence of effectiveness
  • Several standards run in one system without double maintenance

What is new in FSSC 22000 version 7?
