Build your own tools with Claude Code, from an SME’s practice

What this is about

You have a process in mind for which no suitable software exists. A spreadsheet that outgrew itself long ago. A report someone compiles by hand every month.

That is exactly where this workshop starts. We are not teaching you software development. We are showing you how to build a tool with Claude Code that solves your own problem, and how to recognise when it becomes too big for that route.

• 09:00 A real example from start to finish. You see what emerges in a few hours, so it is clear what we are talking about.
• 09:20 A short starting check. Because you completed the installation beforehand, this is only about making sure everything really runs for everyone.
• 09:40 Your own tool, part one. You work on your case, we are right there.
• 11:00 Break
• 11:15 Your own tool, part two. Connecting data you already have, and the path to something usable.
• 12:30 Where the limits are. What goes wrong in real operation, which mistakes we made and how you notice that a project needs help.
• 13:00 End

Who it is for

For process owners, quality and safety officers, IT-minded staff and managing directors in small and medium-sized companies. You need no programming knowledge, but a willingness to try things yourself.

Not suitable for experienced developers who already work with AI tools every day. For you the first part would be too basic.

Requirements

Claude Code has to run on your machine. You need a laptop on which you are allowed to install software, and a Claude subscription that gives you access to Claude Code. That is the only real requirement, and it sits with you rather than with us.

You will not be left alone with it. After registering you receive an illustrated installation guide from us, step by step, plus a checklist that lets you confirm in five minutes that everything works. If something gets stuck, contact us beforehand and we will get it running. That way we start the workshop morning by building rather than by installing.

Also bring one concrete process from your working day that annoys you. The more concrete, the more you take away.

Seats are limited to twelve so that we can sit beside each individual.
